About
the Proprietress
 My name is Kimberely Arana,
owner and proprietress of The Blessed Thistle. A devoted partner
to my husband, and a WAHM with two beautiful and vital little
girls.
Throughout my
life I have felt a strong affinity with Mother Nature and the
gifts that She shares with us deep in the woods. This fostered
in me a passion: quite simply, to help others be their very best no matter the odds, and to appreciate their uniqueness
~ their personal magic ~ in a world of never ending possibilities.
For quite awhile, I wasn’t sure how the inevitability of being a ‘healer’ would manifest in my life. But I knew from personal experience two
things. First, that nature’s plants are our greatest ally towards achieving vitality in this
world. Herbs not only heal us physically, but they carry within
them the Soul of the world, the Source, thereby giving
aide to the healing of our Soul as well.
And second, that when we are vital and passionate about our lives—when we trust ourselves enough to follow our bliss,
to listen to the whispers of our Soul—we are truly beautiful. Ancient spiritual traditions speak of the inner flame that we each carry within: when it is healthy and strong, we radiate.
I wanted to help others see this in themselves, and know it to be true.
To that end, I have stumbled and traveled through many various
doorways to better understand the presence of Soul and the
meaning of being Alive with nature ~ both of which contribute to
our sense of holistic well-being. I have spent two decades studying or
practicing: holistic mind-brain-body
systems, conscious dreamworking, Reiki, aromatherapy, spiritual/shamanic traditions,
meditation, trance work and herbalism. As an initiate of the Feri Tradition,
a Western Mystery Tradition founded by Victor
and Cora Anderson, I am dedicated to reviving and nurturing the ancient wisdom that the
Goddess' natural world offers us, and am continually seeking to learn and grow in the ways of herbs, aromatherapy and
personal magic as much as I can.
As
well as a Bachelor's Degree from John F. Kennedy University, I
also completed the Clinical Herbalist Program with
Christa Sinadinos at The Northwest School of Botanical Studies.
I am very grateful to Christa for the knowledge and wisdom of
plant medicine that she shares with her students and clients;
she is an amazing 'wild-woman' and Grecian Goddess!
I believe that we all have something to share, we are all capable of healing and being healthy, and experiencing a life lived with great passion and joy. You need only to remember, to trust that these essential qualities are your birthright.
No matter how you may travel the road, may you begin your
journey now...
Here at The Blessed Thistle, I hope to help you remember and to trust with steadfast conviction--you are truly beautiful, you are magic!
